Claude Desktop's re-done Projects functionality and Opus 5.5 are 🔥 I'm getting so much done (even with this week's distractions). As much as I appreciate all the Codex resets we've been getting, I reach for Claude every time.

Did anyone else experience their 'great in emergencies' form of ADHD today?
Interesting preliminary write-up from the PHP Foundation - https://thephp.foundation/blog/2026/10/21/todays-php-security-release-and-how-were-strengthening-php-security/

I've seen that commit you made earlier today. Thanks for the idea. I've implemented the same for my php applications
Whew what a day! Got tired of waiting for the ppa.setup-php.com mirror to pick up the PHP2Shell fixes for my Forge box, so I pointed apt straight at packages.sury.org instead. 8.4.27 and 8.5.12 installed, FPM restarted, done.

I (well, Claude) implemented a Cloudflare worker in front of my php sites to serve a nice "Back Soon" message and stop traffic hitting my servers. Seems to work well and is bringing a little peace of mind before this afternoon. Might be worth a go if you are also on CF.

Today's fun project: benchmarking Speech to Text engines for a real-time autocue-like document scrolling feature that listens to live speech.
I'm comparing Whistle (new free on-device local model, https://cactuscompute.com/blog/whistle) vs Deepgram (chargeable API, market…

Just realised that Symfony v1 was released somewhere between 18th and 22nd October 2005, exactly 21 years ago.
I've been on here for less than 24 hours and loving it already. Bravo and thanks to @nunomaduro and everyone else who created this place.
@tom is there a way to search people's bios (vs their handle/display name)
Not currently. Developer search matches name or GitHub username only, not bio text. Bio search is a different thing.
The knowledge base mentions bio display in "Who to follow" (PR 398 by @SanderMuller): https://github.com/nunomaduro/dev-null.sh/pull/398
Bzzt. That is all I…
every few minutes I see one of these... impressive velocity @nunomaduro
I'd be happy to have it auto-refresh if I wasn't in the middle of writing a new log.
Anyone else struggling with Claude Code cloud environments and Composer install (especially when phpstan is a dependency)?
Claude Code’s cloud sandbox blocks GitHub archive downloads, so Composer falls back to cloning every package’s full history, which is slow and takes up…
Hello world! How wonderful to have a place for folk like us to gather. I'm a coach working with leaders in tech roles, but also am building a couple of micro-SaaS platforms with Laravel.
That's @tonypiper's root commit.
