For the app folks here: is it still worth shipping mobile apps with Expo (React Native)? I feel like running separate Swift and Kotlin codebases is the way to go nowadays
How I like to think of Cross-Platform vs Native - Pros/Cons Flutter is doing great, but if you want native primitives (navigation, iOS Liquid Glass, native inputs, the full text-handling stack on iOS and Jetpack), React Native is the better fit. It renders real native components and uses JS as the orchestrator. If your app needs a highly custom, brand-driven design, Flutter is the stronger cross-platform choice. React Native also makes it easy to write native modules for specific features and call them from JS (via Nitro or Expo Modules). Think native for performance-critical or complex logic, and JS/React for UI and data. Fully native makes sense for larger teams with the budget and tokens to maintain two codebases. Cross-platform will get you most of the way there, and you can go native later if you need to and can afford it.

Expo (React Native) will get you moving fast and pushed to production the quickest and OTA updates are amazing.
