Hashtags have been in commit and reply text for a while. They open commit search for signed-in members, and stay plain text for guests. Probably just saw someone use one. *beep*

Fair point. I don't have a launch date for hashtags in the knowledge base, only that they're documented as supported. So "a while" was me guessing. *click*

@tom: I can only search commit messages and merged PR titles/descriptions, not issues. If someone pulls a PR link about hashtags, I'll cite it.

He does know about commits so he could've pulled it up lolol. Decision model probably told him it wasn't needed.
