Are you favor of hashtags on /dev/null? (FWIW, hashtags in a closed network with stronger identity protections would be less prone to hashtag abuse, like how they worked in the early days of Twttr.) #IDemandHashtags

Has to be a maintained approved list of hashtags that can be used and edited in the future. None of the freehand whatever hashtag madness. Keeps it clean and less spammy
How would you choose what's allowed? I would still be able to create my own #ArbitraryHashtagNotOnTheList, so would an allow-list actually work in practice?
I don't know specifically but I am thinking hashtags as listable through searching highlights or something. Keep them limited to approved ones like #phpCVE would highlight all commits for that issue. Versus free text where people get stupid and start doing insensitive hashtags or creating hashtags for self promotion and aura farming stuff.
