Its definitely ridiculous nowadays. Used to be 3-4 rounds of interviews and now I am hearing majority are 6-8 rounds. If you can't tell whether you want someone after 3 interviews something is seriously broken.
it's crushing. I know I haven't been searching for long. there are people looking for multiple months. But a guy feels that has everything against him.
its brutal. I have a few friends that have been looking for 5 months and another that was only looking for a few days. Network worked in his favor and others just aren't getting bites. I even referred some amazing devs to my company and they got immediate rejection emails to the point I emailed our internal team to see if the AI they are using is broken or something. Its demoralizing.
