🚀 Arco v0.9: the last stop before 1.0 What is Arco? A free, open-source tool that runs your Laravel app on AWS Lambda Web Functions: serverless, pay for what you use, no servers to manage. You run composer require, then arco init and arco deploy, and your app is live on AWS with HTTPS. It runs on FrankenPHP + Octane, and from one arco.php it sets up domains, the scheduler, SQS queues with workers, S3 storage, DynamoDB cache and secrets. 0.9 is the API freeze. After 1.0, your arco.php, the CLI commands and their --json output keep working until 2.0. So everything that would be hard to change later changed now. 🔒 Arco never touches what isn’t yours. Every resource carries arco:app / arco:environment tags, and Arco checks them before it updates, deletes or runs anything. Two projects in the same AWS account can’t step on each other, even with similar names. The checks run before any change; nothing happens halfway. 🗂 See everything at a glance. One AWS Resource Group per environment, plus arco info --resources. arco remove shows what it will delete before it asks. 🐘 Pick your PHP version: ->php('8.5'). A release will never move you to a new PHP minor on its own. 🛡 Safer in CI: --yes confirms and --force only overrides a safety check. Protected environments (production by default) ask before arco command, tinker and remove. Deploy migrations are never blocked. 📜 Logs stop growing forever: 30-day retention by default. 🧭 A full upgrade guide with before/after for every change, and “the 1.x promise”: exactly what’s stable. Tested on real AWS before every release. Every pull request deploys a sample Laravel app to Floci, a local AWS emulator: 8 checks covering the site, custom domain, S3, cache, a queued job, the scheduler, artisan commands and logs. Before each release, the same app goes to a dedicated AWS account and gets cleaned up afterwards. That real run caught one last bug before this release.
