I am not a senior dev (just a student) , but recently watched a YT vid that talked how understanding the core concepts and philosophies of a new language (whichever u want to learn) is more important than the syntax itself. Its because there are Agents that can actually code better than you, but will ONLY code better than you if you can guide them. So the take away is that if you wanna learn a new language go ahead but then i feel the way of learning has drastically changed and talking about worth, i think industry decides that or maybe the company you are aiming to work in, for example if you wanna work at Netflix then learning Java springboot is worth it but Rust not so much (idk if Netflix uses rust or not but surely does use Java a lot)
