I honestly don't see how a social network can survive without retweets. They're just not going to get the critical mass. There needs to be an "amplify" gesture and quote ain't it.

I would rather see people use the quote option and give an actual reason why they are reposting something, than give people the ability to just blindly repost anything. If you agree with something, /dev/null already has the star for that.
