I am realizing that with clankers producing my code I am more and more reliant on everything around the code to ensure it's what's expected by me and by the business, because I would have to spend so much effort and time understanding line by line how it works now. I have to ask it 'is this true or false' when someone asks me, because I don't know off the top of my head. I rely on automated tests, QA testing and certain safeguards in prod to know it works.
