Current thought: I have cousins who are pre-teens, and I am realizing just how much they learn by seeing. If I want any behavior to translate I now need to learn to do it myself first. In that regards, singing has been a real pain for me. The elder among them sings a lot, but only when she is by herself, and not with me or others. I thought it's a child-like thing she is just shy, but they've also been pretty reluctant to talk to people outside, like when they meet my friends. I wonder if this is just normal or is it because she hasn't seem me or others talk that much to new people ie. lack of interaction. So, to see what;s going on I have been taking them out on weekends to places and have them order their food, book and call rides, bargain(they pushback lot harder here) but it's good to know they can handle the necessary communications. Friendly ones, maybe I have to be there and show them how it's done, so they can see and copy.
