According to Reuters, Executive Director Elizabeth Barron says the number of code change proposals submitted to the project has nearly doubled with the rise of AI, while the team lacks sufficient staff to review them. The growing workload, coupled with the discovery of serious security vulnerabilities, has raised concerns about the security of the web’s underlying infrastructure.
