r/opensource now bans projects that use, are built with, or are made for AI. Projects must also be at least a year old, have multiple contributors, and be posted by an English speaker. Posting AI-generated content (“LLM output tokens”) can get you permanently banned. Non-English speakers are told to find another community, since moderators can’t tell AI-written English from AI-translated English. Linux is still allowed.
