Many popular applications built with the Electron framework will likely migrate to Rust in the future.
What matters is that AI has made working with Rust easier, so we can expect to see more Rust based software emerge going forward.

most would keep the web UI though 😅 tauri is rust but still renders html, it just uses the system webview instead of shipping a whole chromium
for my own preferences when it comes to mobile app development I go with expo
The problem is that JavaScript frameworks like Electron and Tauri which run using a webview lack optimization.
We tried building the software using Tauri, but we didn't achieve the desired results, so we switched to pure Rust.
makes sense for heavy UIs 🔥 which one did you go with instead?
curious how the UI side felt compared to html
Currently, we are using Slint for Rust.
Slint is native and is not a webview.
