Every time I think I'm done with tech, someone gives me an actual tech task (as opposed to a writing task) and I feel engaged again. Probably ought to take the hint. But this feels like an "interesting" time to try and shift towards more building. On the one hand, my basic programming skills can be massively boosted by AI - and in theory my background makes me a great hybrid person, the sort who should be empowered as a builder by AI. On the other, I seriously doubt I have the expertise necessary to turn vibe code into actually secure, performant software - but I do have enough knowledge to be worried about my lack of knowledge . . .
