Thank You!PHP 🐘🐘🐘
Overview
--------
On November 22, 2021, JetBrains joined forces with Automattic, Laravel, Acquia, Zend, Private Packagist, and others to establish the **PHP Foundation** (
opencollective.com/phpfoundation). As a non-profit organization, its mission is to ensure the longevity and prosperity of PHP by funding core contributors, strengthening security, and advancing the language.
Over its 26-year history, PHP has continued to evolve and power the web with active support from contributors like Rasmus Lerdorf, Zeev Suraski, Andi Gutmans, and Nikita Popov. Notably, Nikita contributed to PHP for over a decade—delivering countless features, bug fixes, and engine enhancements from PHP 5.5 through his work at JetBrains. When Nikita decided to shift his focus to LLVM, the PHP community realized the urgency of sustaining core development, which directly accelerated the founding of the PHP Foundation.
Financial Contributions
-----------------------
I am deeply honored to be a contributor to the PHP Foundation. While my contribution may be modest, every bit of support helps safeguard the future of this language.
Behind PHP lies the dedication of countless developers. Powering everything from personal blogs to complex enterprise systems, PHP has proven its lasting value and charm. I know that individual power is small, but when developers unite, modest contributions turn into the momentum that drives PHP forward. By donating to the foundation, I hope to do my part in supporting core developers, fostering community collaboration, and ensuring PHP's roadmap continues to thrive.
Resource Contributions
----------------------
**PHP gets mocked and criticized every single day!** Yet, driven by a genuine passion for technology, I remain committed to giving back. Beyond donating to the PHP Foundation, I actively share knowledge through my platform, the WeChat Official Account *"Open Source Tech Hub"* (开源技术小栈).
Here, I publish articles ranging from foundational syntax to deep architectural dives and real-world project experiences. This initiative has helped beginners find their footing while offering fresh inspiration to seasoned engineers. More importantly, it serves as a bridge to advocate for open-source participation and rally broader community support for the PHP Foundation.
Gratitude
---------
Looking back on my growth in technology, I was fortunate to have met PHP. It not only defined my career path, but also witnessed every step of my personal journey.
From my earliest days of naive experimentation to today, where I can confidently tackle complex engineering challenges, PHP has been an unwavering companion. It accompanied me through countless late nights of debugging, sharing in both the failures and the breakthroughs.
PHP made me who I am today. It brought me steady technical growth and rewarding career milestones. Through PHP, I built real-world systems, met fantastic like-minded peers (shout-out to Rabbit Boss 🤩), and realized my dream of becoming an accomplished software engineer.
