Semlith Cloud 0.11.0 went out. Best fix in it: the server's idle memory only ever went up. Five heavy page loads took it from 26 MB to 1.7 GB and it just stayed there, glibc keeps freed pages instead of handing them back.
MALLOC_ARENA_MAX=2 alone still held 1.2 GB. Calling malloc_trim once a minute fixed it, same five loads now end at 37 MB.
Also made deploys refuse anything that isn't a tagged commit, and cut the website CI down to just the build.commit fe27647
the glibc not giving pages back thing bites everyone once. did you end up on jemalloc or just tuning malloc_trim?
