I'm building Keyroam (planned open-source): a browser-based DAW with sheet music notation and a modular synth environment powered by Faust DSP.
Visual DSP graphs ↔ real Faust code, compiled to WebAssembly right in your browser.
Try it: https://keyroam.anosatsuk124.icu
The goal is to build an integrated music workstation for composition, arrangement, sound design, and performance — entirely on the Web.
Some technical highlights:
- DAW & Notation: Multi-track MIDI/audio editing, automation, mixing, and traditional sheet music.
- Modular Sound Design: Build custom synthesizers and effects by wiring together oscillators, filters, envelopes, SoundFonts, and Faust DSP modules.
- Visual Faust IDE: Bidirectional code ↔ graph editing, live WASM compilation, signal probing (waveforms/spectra), and per-block performance analysis.
- Interoperability: MIDI, MusicXML, DAWproject, and portable project formats.
- More tools: SakuraMML live coding, Synthesia-style piano practice, and practice progress tracking.
Everything runs locally as an offline-capable PWA — no backend, no account, no native installation.
It's still in active development, and some UI text is admittedly a bit AI-slop-ish.
I plan to open-source the project as it matures. I'd love feedback from anyone interested in audio software, DSP, WebAssembly, or creative coding!
