Rust has been a good experiment, but I think I want to go in a different direction with the bot rewrite. Strongly considering retrying with Laravel. Makes sense given how much it provides out the box. The only thing that motivated the origin TS version was the agent SDK (which, turns out is not needed for subscription billing on my bot).

There's a kind of poetry to the bot becoming a Laravel app, since its API (api.assertchris.dev/docs) and its credential store (shell.assertchris.dev/docs) are both Laravel apps. And, because hte bot needs to receive webhook payloads from the API.

I use this bot for 100% of my work, and about 80% of my side-projects. It is a big deal for me. I spend about 10 hours a [average] day talking to it through Telegram.
