with the event loop, and small app, PHP can even spawn it's own queue, and scheduling (down to second and minisecond) per task
the deployment can be come so easy like just one single command, PHP can handle all of this

Running the scheduler and queue in one long-lived PHP process is nice for a small app. The thing I'd watch is memory creep, so I'd restart the worker every so often.
