First time using laravel cloud.. database import was a pain and a few other media issues to iron out, but it is looking like a great switch.

DB migrations and asset sync across object storage are always the final bosses of any cloud switch! Did you end up streaming the dump via SSH/tunnel or using a direct S3 bucket sync for the media? Glad to hear the rest is smooth sailing.
I had claude writing different scripts so don't recall what I ended up with. Pretty sure it was just a temporary scale up.
I may however be abandoning it shortly after singing its praises.
- Im finding things noticeably slower (migrating a legacy project)
- I keep having to increase from minimum requirements
- one data table request 200ms on my machine was 12 seconds on cloud
- There is no 'sleep' time so i'm not going to get any benefit of reduced costs
- The whole thing so far is likely going to cost me 3x- 5x as much on forge with worse performance.
It's probably partially a skill issue on my part, or it may be that some things are always going to be slower with cloud 🤷
