Working on OpenBooks, an open-source, self-hosted alternative to QuickBooks and the ERP you'd buy after it. Double-entry balance per legal entity, period locks and an append-only audit trail are enforced at the database level, so an unbalanced entry just can't be saved. Day one it's invoices, bills and bank recs. Flip on inventory, payroll, progress billing or multi-entity consolidation when you need them. Still alpha.
