Ether builds a separate Home screen for every viewer inside the stock Plex app. Each person gets a taste model from what they finish, rewatch and abandon, and row order comes from a Thompson-sampling bandit that starts from sensible priors and learns from that viewer's own play rate. A learned re-ranker trains during quiet hours but won't switch on until it beats the hand-tuned baseline on held-out data. Plex and Trakt watchlists sync in, and anything newly playable shows up in that viewer's Now available row. Ether is a Plex server that holds no media and streams from your own Usenet or debrid accounts.
