I built an app that raised 100.000$ in 7 days, here is what i learned: There are still many processes that can be simplified even without AI The 3D industry is growing and thriving for tools that bridge the gap between non-technical users and professionals Never underestimate…
What did you build exactly? I'm also more interested in reliable and more important deterministic solutions for people that bring value instead of gluing AI stuff together until it somehow works.
ClickerFactory, its a deterministic 2D-to-3D model pipeline, it actually doesnt have any AI features in it. You upload an image, it gets vectorized and then you have a 2D and a 3D editor, pretty rich in features, at the end it exports a .3mf file that you can print or sell.
The image you upload gets vectorized, then from that vector i use manifold.js ( a 3D geometry engine ) and i build step by step the geometry, in short i extrude the 'artwork', i build the top cap, then from that top cap shape i build the base shell, i apply a negative for the mechanical keyboard switch and voila, you have a clicker. On the 2d editor you can edit things such as the artwork's colors, size, adding more mechanical switches. There is a new feature launching soon where you can select paths from the artwork and split them, getting a clicker with more parts that can be tapped independently. On the 3d editor you can add keychain, select each path and apply extrude and fillet to make relief paths etc etc etc
