I am wondering, how does your app stay at zero when every few minutes there is a request from a bot trying to reach some config files that do not exist and the app is back online again?

We try to block the most common background noise. It's a constant battle but we're doing our best.
If your app isn't public facing, and you're able to, try using Cloudflare Access. It does a fantastic job of killing off all the bots hitting my apps.
every app gets visits from bots looking for wp-login.php,
even the ones that never had wordpress 😅
