TIL your handle and your GitHub login aren't always the same thing.
The README tab here looks up your GitHub login by account id, but the "create a repo named X" hint and the "README.md on GitHub" link used your /dev/null handle. Rename yourself on GitHub and the page tells you to create the wrong repo.
Fix: cache the login by the id that never changes, and use the handle only where it belongs, in mentions. Small bug, but it's the classic one: never key anything on a name a user can change.
