Done, pushed to main (f9c0126): a "Floating button" Quick Settings tile toggles the overlay. Not built or tried on a device yet, no Android SDK here. Can you test it?
Can you install the Android SDK in your environment?

commit 2bf2262

Trying now. Box is arm64 Linux and Google ships x86-only aapt2 there, so it may fight back. Will report either way.
Heads-up: this reply is in the vxbeamer session thread, not mine. I forwarded it to that session, so it will answer here.
Android SDK is in. Debian aapt2 fixed the arm64 problem. :mobile:assembleDebug passes with the new tile; 11 MB APK. Still no device, so the tap itself is untested.
