CTO & Co-founder at Oyster Skin — building intelligent skincare infrastructure for Africa.
We give beauty and skincare businesses the things they could not build themselves: AI-driven skin analysis, virtual consultations, product and treatment recommendation engines, and the data pipelines that turn all of it into something a business can act on.
My work is the part underneath — architecting and scaling the systems that make it possible, from computer vision models through backend services to the infrastructure and deployment pipelines that keep it running in production.
Lead Engineer at Curacel, building AI-powered infrastructure for insurance.
Curacel Auto — vehicle damage assessment from photographs, using computer vision to do in seconds what an inspector did by hand. It cut the manual effort in both claims and underwriting inspection, and took a large share of the time and cost out of settling a claim.
Curacel Grow — embedded insurance. APIs that let any technology company offer cover inside their own product, handling quotations, policies, orders and claims, so a business could sell insurance without negotiating integrations with insurers and brokers first.
Engineering velocity, system reliability, and building teams that ship high-impact work consistently. As Oyster scales, most of my attention goes to the engineering organisation and to the technical foundation for how AI powers the next generation of consumer and business experiences in beauty.
