Nah there's been a PR for ages. This is a bigger conversation to have. For instance moving to AP has implications for the speed of messages etc.
like any other technical decision, I never said there were no consequences or that tall the changes are "free" :)

No, but just saying it's more complex than creating a PR and we need to discuss/plan such a big change with the core team
