why are ppl giving llms access to the command line and getting surprised when it runs code you don’t want it to?

Claude tried to auto-commit some code yesterday but because my Github is authenticated via SSH and I store the key in my password manager, I got an auth popup and could stop it before it happened. Not that it mattered all that much, as the commit was good, but I wanted to write my own commit message.

i recently started using an app that makes me approve the use of ssh keys with my touch id, going great so far!
