AI has made it faster to ship code. It also means bugs are shipped faster too. The end result is more broken stuff pushed out faster. If you rely on packages, plugins, etc, you're now going to get a nonstop feed of unnecessary features and broken code that will have to be patched. It also opens the doors for non-devs to push out code that may look and feel like real software... until it doesn't. I'm all for democratization. The trade off will be security and instability.
