I fail to understand why Microsoft needed to have two subpar git hosting products.
It's been over a [decade](https://lwn.net/Articles/583485/) since the introduction of
ed25519 into OpenSSH and despite it being objectively better in every regard it's still not supported. The same goes for gpg keys and syntax highlighting.
