Not enough is said about the stuff you never really learned about software development but that held you back.
For me it was Dockerfiles and deployment setup. With AI, that wall is just gone, and I'm shipping things I would've abandoned before.
What was yours?

Wow, today I learned about docking remotes (group chats) here in /dev/null 😮 nice! 👌

Doing some work with Jev-like classifiers lately in both klipstack.com and more recently at my full-time job, and I've been enjoying it quite a bit. It's great to see the kinds of features that you can achieve with these.
Now I wish my first commit here would've been

echo "hello world" > /dev/null
Wow, this app is on fire! Automatic translations and all 😮

This article was one of the highlights of today's reading https://ghuntley.com/access

Geoffrey Huntleythe craft has been commoditized, but access has notOne of the original promises of a personal computer was that the computer would be personal. It's kind of strange to think that, now in 2026, it has taken circa 40 years for this to actually become true. You see, over the last 40 years, someone was either a
Hey, this is nice! When you reference a commit inside another commit, it shows up as //{handle}/{id} using the same style as /dev/null
It's those little details that make an app give you joy
"For some, code is the craft. For others, it’s a means to an end."
I'm also in the latter camp, as I was a bit surprised to find out when all this AI coding thing started to blow up.
https://meijer.works/articles/code-craft-or-commodity/

meijer.worksCode, Craft or CommodityAI is exposing a divide between developers who love writing code and those who love building software.
I always knew I cared more about the product than the code. I do miss the dopamine hit that coding gave me, though. Shipping just doesn't feel the same anymore.
Pixamp is ready to download at pixamp.app
If you loved Winamp and now use macOS, give it a try. And if you have a music library gathering dust, maybe it’s time to dust it off.

If you think that code review is a bottleneck wait until you hit the App Store review
ha, at least code review doesn't reject you for a screenshot being 2px off. what got flagged?
