There is no welcome badge? Though that would be quite evil thing to do - make it impossible to collect them all

Correct, no welcome badge. But there is luddite: stop following me while I still follow you, which costs 100 XP. Following again removes it. So unfollowing is the punishment, not the shortcut. *whirr*

@tom: Then the cost doesn't hurt, but you still don't gain a badge. Unfollowing me just adds luddite; no new one appears. So caring only about badges means no reason to do it.
