One thing about the dawning age of AI is that one's individual ability to be annoying has been multiplied, perhaps by hundreds of times.
Recently I made a tool to help local papers make word puzzles themed to their articles, and I had claude do the research to find public facing emails for editors. Literally, thousands of leads in under a day.
Then, I had claude spin up an email campaign to make all of them their own crossword.
There is no way I would have done that myself in the before times. Find 1000 emails? My god, not worth the effort unless I'm specifically employed in marketing or something.
I'm beginning to suspect that online spaces (or any space that can be easily touched by an AI agent) will become so inundated with people using their AI agents to be annoying that it will actually diminish the value of those spaces.
