I was recently trying to make a laser weeder for my garden. It's already a thing with large-scale organic agriculture, where they pull a laser unit over the field and cameras identify and zap weeds. I was thinking it might be fun to have a handheld or perhaps cart-mounted version of that. Unfortunately it looks like it was going to be, um... how do you say... super dangerous. Plus, I was explaining this idea to a mechanical engineer friend and she was just like "so long as you have the laser, and you know how to identify weeds, why don't you just go out there and zap them yourself"
