I also think it's a great idea that commits are "approved" at the point of submitting, so they can be checked before they are live for issues.
As long as this doesn't start rejecting based on content/views (not an advocate for abuse, or politics) and the team are open with what it screens for, it's a great solution for abuse, spam and all the other problematic issues with X.
