Yes, if your too lazy, you'll be able to get away with code for common functionality, but the more obscure or complex the functionality you want gets the more time you should give to reading it.

Yes. Not worth it. The model will rewrite it at some point or you scrap the project anyway. Write specs, write down expectations, if the system doesn't fulfill the expectations or brakes tests (yes load tests too obviously), let the model fix it
