Zoom out. Your laptop is your main monitor and the bigger external ones are secondary??

yes. that's right probably, but i really don't define each of them main or secondary, it's just visually more familiar for eyes to have on side the same proportionally sized screens and in the center - another one.

Interesting. I’ve only ever thought of the laptop screen being secondary, or the laptop in clamshell, when external monitors used. Might have to rethink things…

and for me it's also the reason to keep it open and to use it as it is third monitor. and it's anyway better now to work with 3 instead of 2 - so no point for me to keep it closed.
