I asked Claude to make preview deploys possible with GitHub Pages, and it came back with a pretty clean implementation. It runs upload-artifact with an expiration for each PR run, then the Pages deploy workflow collects those artifacts and uploads them. I was impressed.

With the old approach, cleanup on merge or close was a pain. Using an Artifact made it simple: the workflow stops running, and after a set period it's no longer included in the Pages deployment. That was nice too.
