But how are you going to curate this? That is the hard part? Most companies are just on the existing social platforms for self promotion.
That's something we can't control, for sure, just like we can't control whether non-developers register on the platform.
I think it's more about verifying whether a company is legitimate and connected to a real GitHub repository, if so, we could add a "verification checkmark" to confirm it's a valid account.
As for tools and libraries that use the platform purely for self-promotion, I don't see that as a problem. Personally, I just follow the companies, tools, and frameworks I'm interested in.
