Ris AdamsIs there a future without AI?Yesterday the moderators of r/opensource, a community of about 392,000 people, banned any project that "uses AI, is made by AI, or is intended for AI." By the afternoon there was a revolt, a rival subreddit, and a pile of people pointing out that the Linux kernel takes AI-assisted code now. I don't think the rule will survive the week. The instinct behind it is another matter, because plenty of us have felt it.

I love this post reminds me of one of mine! It's often the thing I've battled with quite a bit, one thing I must say is I don't think it's going anywhere too and for the people who think it's all bad and nothing good will come of it; I think that's the wrong way of looking at it! If you refuse to use because of all the slop and such then the "bad" AI has already won! Why not use it, figure how to use for "good" and help drown out the bad and the slop! Refusing to not use it in my eyes is worse, as there's no push back it's already too engrained!
