One of my favourite parts of preparing for Laracon AU each year is recording Road to Laracon episodes with each of our speakers.
We mixed the format up a little bit this year, too.
Hope you enjoy!

Inspired by this year's Laracon AU theme of devolution, I've put together Run to Laracon; a playlist to help keep me moving on my runs.
Give it a go on your runs, love to know what you think!

Did an “outrun the zombies” fitness challenge in October. When I started it was a case of, if I make it, I make it.
By mid-month, I should make it.
By end of month, you won’t catch me.
Did a marathon’s wort of running last week, but I survived!
Seriously man, where do you find the time? Family, work, Laracon, and posting videos, .and this as well. Super impressive

Even some new PRs! Not that I usually run this longer route, but I’m trying to stay ahead of zombies this month 🧟♂️
Deep in prep mode, but this kept me on pace today! 🏃🏼♂️

Who will I see there?
I'll be committing live from Laracon AU next week in Brisbane, Australia.
Follow to stay up-to-date if you can't attend (or even if you are attending, I suppose!)

When you've been in an emergency situation and you can't get hold of someone critical because you know they've always got their phone on silent and are old enough that they aren't glued to their phone screen 24x7 so they never see your call - that frustrates me.

Stop asking people to give you dark mode. They spent time and effort (or at the very least tokens) designing a website _they_ like!
I know people who always use dark mode. And I do like it, in the evening.
Asking nicely is fine, no?

so fun seeing a lot of faces that dropped off of the twittersphere reappearing here - guess they were lurking all along!
It's like taking a trip down memory lane for me to the good old Laravel days ... feel like I know everyone (although nobody knows me 🤣)

for those of us still trying to exit vim... now trying to figure out how to exit /dev/null ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ lol
kinda wild how a) quickly /dev/null has grown users and b) that it's broken containment and we're seeing folks outside the PHP/Laravel circles already
