In this era of AI agents and AI powered coding, switching from VS Code to Zed IDE has reignited my love for coding and spending time in my IDE. VS Code had gradually become bloated with too many extensions, and its memory consumption was through the roof. I’d reached a point where being in my IDE felt more like a chore than a joy. Thanks to Zed, that feeling is back. The speed, simplicity, and lightweight experience have made me excited to open my IDE, explore code, and review it again. Sometimes, all it takes is the right tool to fall in love with your craft all over again. 🚀
