In the world of AI design, how are backend developers with no frontend/design knowledge making designs what don't feel AI?! Asking for a friend .... that friend is trying to become more self sufficient and not make slop (Human or AI).

One thing you can do is ask an agent to imitate something else, a classic design pattern, a hand drawing you just made, a radio from the 1950s, or anything else. You can suggest it as vague inspiration, or insist that it be copied down to the pixel.
You still have to know what you want. But you can try a lot of things.
