Kobalt, my alternative reader app for e-readers, is probably my favorite weekend project yet: https://kobalt.nicoverbruggen.be
Working on a creative project like this is quite soothing. Great after a not-so-fun week feeling ill, and it's a ton of fun experimenting with agentic systems to help build it while I sip tea and rest. Plus, I get to unwind and read my newest book with my own app. Feels glorious.
I've been trying out lots of things to see how I could enhance my workflow building this. I'm aiming to be able to use some of these learned things at the day job, too.
My favorite experiment so far is to have an agent watch the issue tracker and anything that comes up and sounds like a bug gets investigated by another dispatched agent, which has been useful since people started reporting bugs and requesting features. At the end of the day, I have a log of items to look through and review.
commit c439dd9
I've had it installed for a few days and been great so far. Only thing missing for me was locking portrait mode but still being able to rotate and I believe that has been fixed already. Nice job!
