The process is mostly like everywhere else, look for jobs and start applying 😉 Living there gives you the opportunity to immerse yourself but it would help if you had already some basics down, especially if you want to work for Japanese companies. The other route is to apply to international companies with an office in Japan, they might not require Japanese.
