So here is what I am going to do:
1. Begrudgingly give Dia a fair chance
2. Advance in creating my own browser
3. Stick to Chrome/Zen until I am satisfied with my own browser

Why not Firefox, if I may ask? Zen feels to me like a facelifted firefox with parts of the UI done better and parts done much worse.
Good question. I used to really like Firefox back then and even now I use it from time to time, but since Zen is closer to the Arc experience I prefer it. Still not quite there for me personally.
I found a really promising Arc replacement earlier today, but so far it only runs on macOS:
