The harsh reality is that AI changed the game completely (or will, depending on how progressive the company is) .
Companies don't need developers, companies need project managers steering a team of AI agents.
DevOps and Security is more in demand than knowing how the Quicksort Algorithm works.
And this means developers need to focus on different skills and also need to sell themselves differently in the future.
Of course, that doesn't excuse not getting in touch at all.
