I'd say less "project" manager and more "manager", no prefix. Having managed large teams (with project managers) I find that I have to strategically think a whole long more - and have to make sure there's project **and** product decisions made. Then I typically have to weigh in and use judgement and work with stakeholders.
Just being a project manager means I'm taking the vision and making sure it's executed. Today, we also are discovering the **vision**.
