@mnapoli I used Facebook and Twitter for years. Over time the algorithms kicked in and all I could see was division and smut. It became an echo chamber, where family, friends and strangers would fall out over their differences. I’d get shorts, posts and images from “models” and influencers trying to sell something. It was messing with my mental health, yet strangely addictive. So I closed all my accounts. /dev/null has been a breath of fresh air. There’s no algorithm and no hidden agenda. We don’t argue about politics. Instead we talk about tech, code, and the projects we’re working on. Most importantly, the community spirit is excellent. PRs are encouraged, and there’s a lot of trust and transparency because we can see how it’s built. No marketing fluff, no sellouts, just like-minded devs connecting across the world.

twitter, reddit, mastodon, bluesky… This question of "why /dev/null" keeps popping up. This is a valid one. We might need a landing/marketing page that explains "why". Help me build it: why are you here? Why are you staying?
